What We Do

Chautauqua Summer Gatherings

Groups of knitters and crocheters gather three times every week during the summer Chautauqua Season to share stories, form new friendships, deepen old relationships, and learn more about the work of Knitting4Peace.
Each Monday the group gathers in the Hall of Missions from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. for a formal presentation, Q & A session, and Blessing of newly delivered items. A workshop is offered every Tuesday (4:30-5:30 p.m.) on the Methodist House front porch for any one who wants to learn to knit, any one with a knitting problem, and any one who just wants to knit with other knitters. Each Thursday the group gathers from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on the front porch of the United Church of Christ Reformed Church House for informal conversation and knitting/crocheting. We warmly invite you to join us! (For more information about Chautauqua, visit their website at www.chq.org.)
